We have stopped doing 7m mhg jobs without a full rebuild. Too much time, too much liability, too much headache, not enough money. The way they treated you was bad, but their reasoning I can totally understand.
$1k for a complete mhg job? That shop is screwing themselves on that job, or screwing you on the quality of work. $1k labor/machine work only would be closer to ok.

Do you have a phone number for this place? I could make calls to them all day from Japan asking about BHG jobs and whatnot!! Bwahahaha...
