all will never run welded diff i have had one in my rx7 and never agian and there miles apart in performace you can still drive down windy roads have fun i find it alot better plus if feel liek it i can chnage it to 1.5 way if i wanted too
as for matenes ummm arnt you suppost to change you diff fulid cause i kinda do i don't know about you and there is no addtive to run if you run kaaz oil
as for life they will last for a long time way longer then stock one ever will
plus iof it break wheesl lock up and ummmm crash
well then you wouldnt be buying a 2-way
what makes a 2-way diff is machined into its design of the diff case and componenets. its not something you can turn on or off or tweak out of a full 2-way.
trust me, a 2-way drives just like a welded diff...
and you change normal diff lube ever 70k miles... mechanical 2-way diffs are alot more sensative than a typical clutch pack diff like ours and FAR more picky than a VLSD like the S5 Rx7's like i had in my GTU-S.
and when a welded diff breaks, it doesnt lock up... at least none of the ones i have seen. they usually blow out the spider gears and no power can be transferred to the axles.
also, these 2-way diffs arent really "set it and forget it". they are meant to be tuned and set up. they REQUIRE frequent servicing. thats the premise of a 2-way. if you dont, it wont be in tip-top shape.
2-way diffs are a far more expensive and complex example of the functionality that a welded diff provides; its a widely beleived fact!
also, Kaaz diffs are made by Tomei iirc. and Tomei sells their own lube for use in their diffs. i would expect that its formlated with specific additives for their requirements as opposed to the average gear lube found in your local auto parts store. (here is what im talking about)

if you guys want to pay 20x more money and have infinite more things to go wrong than a stock LSD or welded diff and be stuck using proprietary gear lube made from special japanese dinosaur remains, be my guest. consider yourselves warned; With great drifting parts comes great pains in the asses!
