The turbo guys often block the TB line and run the can only to the accordion. Lol, they're apparently operating under a misconception there's vacuum on that line.

I definitely get vaccum on my line to the accordian, why wouldn't you? It's another story to just vent to atmosphere. The only other way I can think to plumb it involves a vaccum pump to suck out the excess crankcase gas. I still fear that 18psi into the crankcase seems like a bad idea.

Just to add to this thread. Does anybody know the name of the valves that go on the exhaust. They pull vaccum off the downward exhaust pressure? Domestic guys use these, I dont know the name of them. SF had a thread awhile ago about them, but search dont work. BTW these are for racing purposes ony .
The way race cars go to the exhaust just uses the venturi effect to scavenge the PCV gas. No valves as far as I know, they just need to enter at a certain angle. I would have mine set like this if I wasn't afraid of coating my wideband with gross. Just google PCV exhaust scavenging.

I'm not trying to argue. But with my 10ft of line I can still feel vaccum at idle (scientific method of feeling it suck my thumb to the hose) where my line goes to the valve covers. And I still find oil residue in the accordian, and it didn't land there magically. As I mentioned I'm not saying its the greatest evacuation method, a pump would be much better.

Do you reccomend that high boost setups should still run a line from the throttle into the pcv system? I'm not trying to aruge with you, just prying for more information, if there's a better setup than what I see most guys running I'd defintely use it.

If the vaccum is good enough for NA cars, why would it not work for a boosted vehicle? Most of the other turbo cars I see use a one way check valve to stop the boost from entering the valve covers.

N/A cars don't have the line to the accordion. They don't need it. Do you have the TB line hooked up as in the stock method? I'm talking about cases where people block off the TB port and use the accordion only for "vacuum". If your PCV system is stock that's a different story. From what I've seen many people don't seem to understand how the PCV system on the GTE works but I'll leave that for another time. My point was the accordion port does not generate vacuum. Just looking at how that part of the induction system is constructed makes that obvious. Assuming the TB port is capped if there's vacuum on the accordion port you must have a flow problem with the air filter or airbox.
