JZA70 vs MA70 exhaust different lengths?

I tried to put my BIC test pipe onto my JZA70 today, and found that it was an inch too short. I was under the impression that the two cars shared the same exhaust? Or is is just the same from the cat back?

Whatever it is, my stock cat is about 12 1/2" long, while the test pipe is 11 1/2" long. Does that seem right?

It is only same from catback.

BIC sells a testpipe that is longer made for our cars.

The DP is an inch shorter I beleive, I had the same test pipe problem. You'll obviously need a 12.5 inch test pipe.

My clip was cut on my DP so i had to weld the back half of the MA70 exhaust to the front half of my DP Cat back is the same though. & same diameter.

The JDM jza70 exhausts are 1" shorter, and the jza70 cat is 1" longer. Stock cat is 11 3/8" long and the jza70 cat is 12 3/8" long. Yes I do make a 1" longer testpipe for JDM equipped cars, the BIC 3.5" catback is adjustable, you can slide it apart if you need the extra inch when ordered with the seecond resonator.

i didn't know this and had no problem with a Trust DP and the coolezee test pipe from my MA70 i have an old HKS Sport Cat back

sorry randy i am not trying to knock your great craftsmanship BTW i was just wondering why i had no issues using the same exhaust parts
