i have a jza70 supra that i finally got running better after sorting out major vacuum problems but found it was still throwing a check engine light. i checked the code and got a code 52 for knock sensor circuit. should i check for continuity to the pins at the ecu? the wiring on the car is kind of a mess from the previous owner so could it be worth just rewiring the knock sensors? ( i understand there are 2?) what would be involved with this?

Make sure the wiring is doen correctly for the knock sensors. They are wired with shielded wire.
The main wire that goes fro mthe plug top the ecu is wrapped in a shileded jacket. One end of this shielding is open ( ususally in the plug side, and the other end is grounded to the bass ground points in the harness ( bunched up with brown wires. I have used USB cable wires in the past to repair them
