My factory TEMS are dying, so im going to replace them however i dont want coilovers so im thinking of just a shock spring combo, ive already got lowering springs

JZA70 bilstiens do they handle alot better than TEMS? worthy of purchasing or is the $ better to be spend on something else

We dont have much of a selection for the mk3 unlike you guys in usa!

Thanks
Nick

I have a set on my car too and they are great, I think it has the perfect ride. I never noticed much of a difference with my old tems shocks, I have also used KYB GR2's which were way to soft. I would reccomend them if you can find them.

Hmm thats awesome sounds like they might be the go, do they wear out as bad like tems? what i mean is if i buy a 15yr old 2nd hand pair they will be in just as bad as my tems?

Rather pricey brand new around $1200NZD which is $824USD

They are worth spending that kind of money on a new set? i would much rather buy new, just wasnt sure of they were that much of a upgrade

Thanks
Nick

suspension is definitely not the thing to cheap out on. go for the best. always.

and yes, the bilstiens will be worth every penny you spend on them

bilsteins are VERY durable and I've seen take offs from a 100K mile truck and they still worked like they where brand new.

I've only seen ONE failure, and it was from some retard jumping his truck of a 6' drop...

It is nice and stiff sitting in kyle's car. Not as stiff as most coilovers but good for some fun time and daily driving.

i also use these on mine, my rears may need a reco now (thats also another thing... theyre rebuildable) and not only that.. when u get them rebuilt you can get them customed for a stiff or softer absorb or stiffer/softer rebound. and i think by memory its about 70$NZD to rebuild and another 60$NZD to modify. (front also have a adjustable platform that has 3 adjustments that can gives you a extra 2 inch or so drop.
