:rofl: that is the one.

I would do the headgasket and valve stem seals while you have it out of the car. It is a junkyard motor. My 2J had a lot of the water jackets blogged with crud and the valve stem seals were really hard.

Now is the 1JZ head gasket 5 layers?? I assume this would be fine for a 1.5 jz without going any higher thickness in headgasket ( using 2jzge blocks).

Not sure how many layers it is, but it IS a MLS gasket. Atleast 4 layers. Yes it would be fine for a 1.5JZ. I run one on my 1.5JZ right now.

I ordered the kit a few years back, and it ended up being $200cad with a crappy canadian exchange rate, and shipping it up here.
