What all is inculeted in the gasket kit?

Are there any other gaskets I need to put on that are not included in the kit?

Before I drop the 1j in

I'm pretty sure you made that word up............:biglaugh:

Everything should be there for you. I noticed today that mine didn't have the front seal, but I think that was an oversight. I'm pretty sure they come with all of the cam seals, and front and rear main seals.

I replaced all the seals on mine before I swapped it in, but I tore mine down to the block. I just thought it was easier to do it while it was out of the car. If you don't feel comfortable with that then just replace the rear main and the cam seals. You'll have to remove a few items to get to the front seal. Is it leaking anywhere?

The kits are about $130 from Champion Toyota, and it's WELL worth it. You have to remember you're even getting a stock metal head gasket in that too.

Replace the front and rear main seals, definitely. Valve cover seals, and cam seals I would change too because it's really quick to do. Keep the valve seals, as you can replace those with a little effort while the motor's in the car, and I wouldn't replace them unless I had a good reason. Head gasket, intake and exhaust gaskets, just keep around incase you pull the motor apart. They're all metal, and should not leak unless messed with.

Wow, the 1JZ kit is actually that cheap?? I was thinking they were at least a few hundred...seriously.Especially if it comes complete with front/rear seals.
Now is the 1JZ head gasket 5 layers?? I assume this would be fine for a 1.5 jz without going any higher thickness in headgasket ( using 2jzge blocks).

price did jump a bit. Its 175 or so. From what i know it comes with almost EVERYTHING. I purchased mine and it had alot. I didnt replace everything just those that were important. Buy it, if you want buy 2. You never know when they will stop offering it and it would be gtood to keep an dextra just in case. It could also support the community if there is a shortage by having some left over which you can sell ;)
