hi there everyone, just after a few ideas really, about 7 weeks ago was out having a bit of fun and oil pressure dropped through the floor and she started to rattle her t*ts off:icon_evil. anyway after finally getting all the parts we put her back together last weekend, turn the key and the engine just cranks but will not fire into life,we have got spark, have got fuel, all the sensors seem to be fine, tried altering the timing 180 degrees, checked all vacuum hose's .efi fuse checked and swapped(just in case) hopefully someone can shed some light on my grim situation :1zhelp:
cheers in advance dazza

IF you're 100% sure you have fuel and spark, check to make sure:

-Cams are point up (notches) when the crank is at TDC. Verify TDC with a dial indicator on top of the #1 piston
-Reset the CPS according to the toyota manual. Inspect and verify continuity through the plugs on the CPS.
-Check the fuel pressure

Report back to us.

check for codes, check grounds

The ground on the intake was loose and I got the same problem

Quoted for truth. Although, if the ground wires that are for the ECU under the intake plenum aren't correct, I don't think he'll see spark or fuel?

he'll see both, at least that is what my car would do

when he checks for codes if the ground is bad he won't get any blinking

that is what took me so long to figure out why my car wouldn't start, I had fuel and spark

this is still not happening for us, its becoming a part time thing (just losing all enthusiasm in it) we took apart the cps unit cleaned it all up and put it back together, managed to get it to start and run although badly, we can idle but it will not rev above 3000 rpm (starts to cough splutter fart and bang:cry:) we have turned the timing 180 degrees out and get exactly the same thing:1zhelp:
hopefully someone on here can help us
