hey guys. well i finally got the 3rd gen runnin, after like a yr, i have been waitin for ever for parts and stuff. anyway, i have a new t4 turbo, custom manifold, external wg, greddy bov, 3" turbo back, intake, mbc. so i start the car up and it started fine, with a new battery. but it idels very bad, and when i step on the gas its just gutless, like my camry. and it takes for ever for the rpms to get up. i just had a fresh rebuild on my engine. what do you guys think could be the problem? do i need some kind of tuning, or fuel controller? am i just flowin too much? also could it be the cps? i need help. thanks guys
MIKE

i think you need tuning or fuel controller or engine management. take it to someone who knows what they are doing, dont want to blow it up after waiting so long and then have to wait even longer for the next rebuild. :nono:

You need to borrow a timing light from someone and set it to 10 degrees with the jumper installed as per the hood sticker.. Also, all you need to check codes is a paper clip, Directions are on the hood sticker..:) Start there...

My car wouldn't even stay running while i had the coolant temp sensor code. Mine was a loose wire it had pulled out a little from the connector.

This shouldn't be at all. The signal from the CTS is used mainly for cold timing and idle speed Otherwise it's an EFI trim sensor and a fault in it simply causes the ecu to substitue a value of 180 F, about what hot coolant would be.

There are very few sensor faults that will prevent the engine from starting or running It may not run normally but it will run and the car will be drivable. After all, what good would a computerized EFI system be if it killed the engine at every little sensor fault?

Mike: the CTS is not the one on top of the T stat housing. That's the TTS for the cold start injector. The CTS is the two wire unit on the side of the housing.
