I just joined a few days ago and I have been lurking ever since..

Just figured I would stop by this section and introduce my self.

My name is Chris and im from South Carolina. I have mainly been a Mustang guy my whole life but I have always loved the MkIII body since I was a kid. So I found a great deal on one and now Im the proud owner of a 88 Turbo, 5-spd targa. the car is white with blue leather guts..picked her up for $1,800 from Ebay.. Car runs great nothing major wrong with it at all.. front seats need re-doing but other than that the only sour note is a valve cover gasket leaking NO BIGGIE!

The car is sitting bone stock right now... with the exception of a downpipe... the PO may of had a turbo back on it at one point but its all stock now..

the little that I have driven it I love it so far! I plan on 550-600 RWHP and i plan on taking my time with it.

Thats about it, also wanted to say I love the site and I have learned a lot in only a few short days...This site will be my guide through my MKIII project!

Same here, except Ive always been for the LS1's still am to this day. But looking for a good DD I ran across the supra and its a blast to drive. Ive to already learned a ton and still learning. Defiantly a whole different ball game from what Im used to.

I had a few LT-1's and one Ls1 car and the Ls engine is no joke at all my friend, my brothers father in law has a new z-06 vette and that thing is just sick! and my dad has a 6.0 GTO thats a monster as well... i'll get some pics of the goat for you guys, right now he has a full exhaust, some suspension work and minor bolt ons. super charger will be here in about 14 days! I might just jack the GTO from him...

btw anyone here from the carolinas use a tuner by the name of DYNO Dan?? some guys used him for mustangs and they said good stuff, just seeing if he does imports as well... and I have no idea how to get in touch with him.

actually a leaking valve cover can be a BIG problem, but you wouldnt know it yet. I would get that checked out as soon as possible. I read about a guy who spent 1 grand rebuilding his head becuase of a leaking gasket!

Sorry, Im meant the way things work, parts and etc... Trust me I know about the LS1. Ive worked on a few goats, and vettes. That GTO your talking about sounds pretty awesome. Is he over on LS1tech? I live over there basically.

Ever pick up a gmhightech or chevy high performance? If so look for the "Patriot Performance" ads. Thats my car on their adds. Theres also some pics of it in the link in my sig.
