Pull your motor and get some calipers. Post your pictures and measurements and we should be able to help. If its too bad you'll have to have your crank polished or machined. Check your mains too, and take this time to fix the oil shaft bearing.

Ok i will post pics when i get in the 7m... I pulled my magnetic oil pan drain plug, and there was metal all around it... Small shavings, but non the less... I am gunna replace both mains and rods...

i run ow30 castrol euro formula 25k miles on motor since rebuild in august 2010 no problems drive and boost it everywhere i go...

Link? My bet is that is likely says something like "ideal for winter" because it's a 0w and pumps easier in cold/sub-zero conditions. I've been using GC for quite a long time, always with good oil pressure (and remember that pressure is resistance to flow).

In fact, I use GC 0W30 in my e36 M3, used it in my Supra, use it in my Toyota Pickup. Year round. Perhaps you should use Google to your advantage and do some real research, maybe you'll want to join us "future rod-knockers" and ditch your redneck engineering attitude.

One of us is confused. Are you suggesting a 0w is too "thin"? If so perhaps you misunderstand what the numbers on the bottle mean or fail to recall oil viscosity goes down as it heats. Since a 0w is no exception and becomes much "thinner" when hot, way more so than what it started out as, how is it a problem? Using your logic a 0w, or any motor oil for that matter, would be more likely to hurt the engine when hot.

The oil in question, although rated as a 30, is closer to a 40 weight when hot. And again, when hot it's much thinner than when it started out cold as a 0. The "w" after zero does not mean weight.

So just updating on whats goin on with my shit... Im taking the rotating assebly in to ge rebslanced and rods resized if needed! So then it will be all good to go!! Balancing is 195, which i dnt think is bad at all, then like 25 to resize...
