well with these injectors i got off a friend who thought they were done with, so i ended getting them for a "special" price, they are more than 2 years old and have been put through hell...heh, so i said f-it, we'll see wat happens.

I plan to go with either an sp61 or the BOSS turbo from LIPP(suprasport)

Sorry, I'm not putting RC Injectors down. They're fine pieces.

you need to find out what brand of gas he was using.

A couple of observations.

Nobody but IJ, realized that the test fuel pressure was 43psi where it should have been done at 35psi. Most of you guys were commenting on how "huge" they were instead of realizing the truth behind the test. Tells me how much you guys really know about injectors. Yet, you guys make comments about other injectors as if you were experts in the field. I wish they would have tested them at 35psi to see what they would have truely flowed. Oh well, we'll never know.

I've never heard of anyone using any pressure except 45 psi to flow injectors. Typically injectors are designed to run bewteen 35 and 45 psi. The injector people out there use 45psi for static flow. When you order injectors, the flow rate is considered to be at 43psi.

Those 950s at a lower 35psi staitic fuel pressure would be 850s. Check RC's website for details on how to calculate the difference. In fact, to make those act like 550s, you'll have to run those at 15psi static pressure. I don't think the car will run with that low of a pressure. I wouldn't run these at less than 35psi. I say throw em on ebay as a set of 950s.. or SF.com. To see them as a set of 750s, you'd need to run 28psi static.

I'm sure you could make a few bucks off of them. :)

im going to try using them, if it works out it works out, if not i'll throw them on ebay or sell em. Either way i need to run them for a bit because there was a "notice" on my invoice saying they recommend using the injectors after servicing them within 30days...
I will keep u guys updated...i hope i can make them work, selling shit is too much work lol...

To all those claiming they tested them at the incorrect pressure; please explain to me why RC marks them at 750cc/min and clearly seem to say they flow their advertised rate at 43 psi. The same as this company did for empera's.

probably because if they claim 940cc at 43psi, some dickhead is going to run them at 34psi, and blow up. Better to be over than under. Look at all the people claiming Venom injectors don't flow as much as advertized.

Maybe thats because Venom injectors are junk, lol.

That seems like a completely rediculous strategy to me, if I want 550s from them I want them to be 550cc/min at 43psi, not 740, because thats how I calculated my fuel system.

what's the problem? just tune for them (adjust Duty cycle, not pressure drop)... I'm sure he can make the car idle with 850cc injectors like you've calculated. No?
no

sorry fueling and injector pulse width don;t work that way.

1.2 ms is the smallest time the injectors can be held open without a motec, autronic on the other end controlling them. With 950cc you would be hard pressed to get it to idle half assed without a standalone at anything below 1100 rpm.

You don't think it will idle with the stock fuel pump relay system intact and his 550 vpc chip?

Also, it's calculated to 850cc at 35psi. What does the pressure go down to with the resistor kicked in?

Lowering the voltage just slows the flow... the Aeromotive FPR can only go down to 30psi anyway (assuming thats what he's using, as most are) so 30psi is your minimum. Regardless of wether or not the relay is working.

I don't see how it will work, these injectors are approaching double what the chip was made for, even if you pull max fuel and run it at ~30psi base FP (this is ignoring how badly this would screw with the ECU) I have a hard time believing it would run well at all.

If it were me, though, I would be talking to RC eng about these.

I bought these because the person who i bought these from was using a 550 rom and safc2 with them and no problems until now. And like i've stated before i thought it would be a waste if he didnt do anything with them. I mean they're not suppose to be 940...they're suppose to be 750's so im kinda lost there. Also he couldnt really do anything with RC because these were purchased 2 years ago and the warranty was over.

Welp, I'm sure you could sell them. Freshly rebuilt/cleaned injectors shouldn't be too hard to get rid of.

Did you have a need to run such big injectors? Or could you get a set of 550s and use them?

i'd be fine with 550's, but hey i thought with 750's there would be much more room for improvement...

There would be but at that point, IMO, you're starting to get into standalone territory. Especially when they are really 940cc's, lol.

BTW, were you at the meet in Jersey last weekend?
