For the price of about a grand (fix his 1J before he swaps it into his 240SX, a 5-lug conversion, S14 control arms, and an engine hoist that I got for free from my work) I am getting a low mileage 87 hardtop N/A shell that has a clean title and an immaculate grey interior, adjustable Tein Coilovers, 1-piece aluminum driveshaft, 4.10 diff (compared to my 3.73 that I'm currently using), JDM folding mirrors, 2 sets of bubble markers, and a perfect condition gay blue painted body. This car is a cherry. I'm getting this in conjuction with his other Supra (I'm taking what I want from both and parting out the rest). I'm going to sell my interior (that means harness bar, Corbeau seat, and 5-point harnesses). This will also mean that I will be able to install my headlight conversion cleanly this time. That also means that I'll have my new headlight boxes installed too. I'm so happy right now I can't contain myself. On top of that, my buddy is going to rebuild my wiring harness for me to make it more efficient and very clean. I'll have him tuck the wires while we're at it. I'm in pure ecstacy right now. :biglaugh:

I'll take a couple quick pics of both cars on my way to work this morning with my cell. Define weird Jonathan. I'm going to do my headlight conversion on this car as well, but this time it will be done right. I'm going to use a cutoff wheel to do the cutting, and I will be reinforcing the radiator support and relocating the battery in the process. Right now the interior of the blue shell is disassembled, but inside the car. And the mirrors are red, so those will have to be repainted.

As for my drivers seat, harness bar, and 5-point harnesses, those will all be sold once I get a chance to take them out of my burgandy Supra. The slightly damaged 5-spokes currently on my burgandy Supra will be going on the blue Supra, and I will try and get those fixed up and polished.

Guess this means that I'm going to try and stay in the Corps after all. Hell, I can reenlist in a year and get a $30k resigning bonus before taxes (maybe I can con them into sending me to Iraq for just long enough that that bonus is tax free :naughty: ).

As promised. And yes, those are my old sawblades with the low pro's on the white Supra.

I forgot to mention that the windshield will need to be replaced due to smoke damage at the top, but I'll probably just use the windshield that's in my burgandy Supra.

Thanks. I'm doing the motor swap starting about the 1st. Only hinderance is getting an engine hoist so I can pull the motor and tranny in the parking lot, unless I'm willing to do it at the hobby shop which is an option now that I think of it. I'm already starting my tinkering. I took off the broken black front lip the other day, and today I pulled the Cali plates off it. My flawless body has a small blemesh at the front liscense plate holder, but that's ok since I'll be putting in a Turbo-A duct there, so I don't care. I think tomorrow I'll clean my windows and tail lights, even though it's still a shell. The major work begins after I get the interior swapped and fully installed. Atleast then I can sit in the car and steer it and such.

On a side note, my liscene plate collection from my Supra's is growing quick. The 2 Cali plates that came on my 90, 1 of the 2 Oregon plates that my 90 currently uses (the other will come off once I pull the motor), and the 2 plates off my 87. The 88 plates will be coming off once the motor is pulled from it. Once I have all my plates, I'll need to find a nice shooting range that will allow me to shoot the Cali liscense plates so I can hang them on my wall of Supra (yet to be created). The Cali plates are getting shot as a show of how much I hate the NAZI vehicle laws here in Cali. And yes, my 87 will soon have Oregon plates on it. I'm sending out the info once I get my title for it and start the swap.

I know a few people that would let me borrow their hoist. I can't really do any work until my arm is out of my sling (3rd dislocated shoulder surgery a month ago). I estimate this project will take atleast a week to complete due to how much work is involved. The interior will take me a couple hours since I've done it a few times. I have to swap the front wheels with the a pair of wheels from my 90 onto my 87 so I can roll it into a parking spot that's more workable (2 spaces down, with the car parked half in each spot). I'm in the back row, so parking isn't an issue. But I can't do that until the interior is reassembled, or atleast emptied enough so that I can sit in it and turn/hold up the steering wheel while it is pushed. Atleast I'll have pictures with this build, although they will be with my crappy camera phone.
