I might have a passenger door molding still in a box from my MKII parting days. Driver door moldings sold, but passengers sometimes didn't. I'll try to look for it tomorrow, and if I still have it, you can Have it for shipping cost

me fi had a good 5m in my mk2 is whoudl be turboed by now it's so dame easy and the block cna take it pending on year since yours looks like 84 to 85 your set since you have factory nock senser only 1 of them but that si all you need

stuff needed

ct26 trubo
mk3 ic
inter cooler of your chooseing
safc 2
afpr
possible injectors pending on how muich boost you push
stock mk3 fule pump

that is pretty much it that and know hwo to tune a car
the 5m can take boost cna it take alot fo boost only if it has nock sencer if it is a per 84 then she will die over time since the car will end of detanating and such

teh reson why i sujest on turboing a 5m is cause you will learn and if you make mistake so what 5m are worth nothing and after that go 7mgte

i bugs me that poepel just look at one guy and say i gonna do what this guy is doing and such and dodge all teh learing junk

but that is just me

Just re-read the whole thread for the first time since my first post in it. First time seeing the pics, and I have to say I Love it! Rare to see an mKII hatch so unrusted. I want an MKII again, it brought back memories. Let me know if you want that $1000 back out of it!

looking good, thats what I've been trying to do, get a MKII while the MKIII is down. I would drop a 1j in that thing and call it a day. you wanna talk about driving like a go-cart. 1j FTW. clean car though

nash man i dint know the stock mk3 fuel pump would support the mk2. what size is the mk3 pump and how do instal it? any size diffrence, and is there any wireing diffrences. also can you "rewire" it to get more voltage like on a dsm or a mk3? also if i run a safc can i run my 440s from my mk3 and also what do I have to do to get those wired up and in the rail? and the last thing is a boost reffrenced regulator like the one from aeromtive what I need to get the old girl from leaning out?

that is only because it's been beaten to death over there. just search on there and you will find all you care to know. a 5mgte can't take that much boost cuz the fuel system sux with a good RRFPR and 4age injectors you can boots the ct26 to 10-12. BUT off boost it will be pig rich. 7m is the way to go in the mk2, $ to $ the 7m is the ticket.

1.6L injectors in a 3L motor. i would not try try this at home.

A RRFPR is an must! Fuel pump is not needed put is a good idea as yours is in un-known condition. 4age injectors are a little bit bigger then what is in the
5m now. Thus gives you the extra fuel you need under boost with a RRFPR and you can still get it to run off boost. You also need to do something about the spark, some have had success using a 82 vac advance dizzy. Also don't forget to do the MHG and arp studs! To make a 5m boost and last more then a few months takes time and money. I'm not trying to discurage you but I don't want to see you blow up a great mk2. We have lost too many 5mgte lattly.

If I were to turbo a 5m (one day i will) I would a) megasquirt it or b) use a maf pro and work with FTS to get it set up for the 5m ecu to control fuel and spark. This would be cheap and you could see 7m power with this set up. Cuz you can control spark and run 440 injectors.

The biggest thing in the way of getting power out of a 5m is the ECU.

4age injectors come from a non turbo 4age 1.6L 4cyl.
i've got one in my 85 mr2, good for gass mileage.
