Factory molded door edge gaurds(metal) and the factory fit fender trim?

I've been told it was a factory add on or option from toyota by several people. I have yet to see them on other cars, but they are quite obviously for a supra as they are perfect fit and metal.

One more thing, I'm not sure if I'm going to put them back on or not...so are they worth anything? Just curious, because if I don't put them back on, I might part with them.

I have them on my 86.5 I'll try to get some up close pics for you later.

Edit-there are pics on my build thread, they are not very upclose but you can tell it has the fender and door trim. There's three supras in my build thread and the white 86.5 has the trim.

Definitely not factory, *might* have been a USA dealer accessory, was not a Canadian accessory for sure.

I'm thinking aftermarket though, it's possible some dealers installed them, but I don't think Toyota supplied them. Could be wrong of course, but they definitely weren't put on at the factory in Japan.

First off. Sweet ass car above me here ^^^^^. Ok, here are some pics. Sorry the car is dirty. Personally, I like them, especially on a white car, so when the car gets a repaint, so will they.

The '87 Turbo shell I bought a few months back had those in the backseat, I thought they were just some aftermarket junk or something. They must've been pretty common if so many people have them.

Yours doesn't have the lower door edge gaurds. they are supposed to have four pieces, two per door. I went by the toyota dealership, and was informed that they were indeed a toyota accessory that has LONG been discontinued.

My car had the fender and door edge gaurds, and they were tacked on to the original window sheet as an "accessory". I still have all my paperwork. I just didn't think to look the other day...lol
