I bought a 1986.5 Toyota Supra (non turbo) off Ebay for $438. This car has 143,000 miles on it, which to my understanding; is still very little for a Supra. The car also has new z-rated directional tires on it, that have less than 3,000 miles on them. I forget the brand name, but it started with a "P"; and I believe that it was a Japanese brand. The tires alone are worth what I paid for the car.
I've wanted a MKIII Supra since I first seen one when I just got out of high school, and I just couldn't pass this one up.
The only things wrong with it is:
-the fuel pump (which I just replaced),
-it needs a new back window (I'm picking up a used hatch this weekend),
-a brake light switch (already purchased and need to install),
-and it needs cleaned inside and out.
The pieces missing from the interior are all located in the trunk.
The stickers have already been removed from the windows, and as you can see it'll need a paint job as the previous owner spray painted the car black. The car was black originally, so it shouldn't be too difficult to repaint. The car is originally from North Carolina, so there is NO RUST anywhere on this car; which is very rare thing up here in Northern Michigan. Especially on a car this old.
Once the fuel pump was installed, I started the car and it runs pretty smooth. I have yet to drill out or bypass the J-tube, but I'll be doing that later on this week. It just needs a few odds and ends, (like a steering wheel, center console cover, and e-brake handle + boot), but I'll have it whipped into shape pretty soon.
What do you guys think? Pretty good deal for a N/A? Anything I should check or look out for?
