make sure you don't have excessive oil in the pan. that will get shit load of oil in you accordian hose and low ic pipe through the pcv system. it might sound stupid, but check to make sure. for a while i was all paraniod after i got rodknock thinking and extra quart or two of oil would help, well. it didn't. it just made me think my turbo was blown when really it was the excessive oil in the pan. first thing i would do after i bought a supra is drain the oil in a clean pan and inspect it for metal shaving.

ok guys i need help.

My car seems to turn off and turn back on when im driving. It has a exhaust leak and boostleak somewhere and i got little bit of oil in the 3000 pipe, little bit in the turbo, intake pipe.. air filter, you know all the pipes.. seems like it. My friend thinks it the turbo is blown and i believe him, Just want to know, anyone here had that problem before??

Will this problem be fixed if i changed the intercooler pipes to fix the boost leaks and also im planning on changing the exhaust manifold and also the turbo. The car is turning off when i push the car a little bit. Im not use to the manual stick and i kinda tryin to drive it little fast just to get the hang out it. But the car turns off and turns back on..

Someone help me out..

thanks

Several of the highly repsected and knowledgable guys on this board recommend running at least a quart over. I ran a quart over on all 3 of my supras and never noticed extra oil in the PCV system or anywhere else. Are you sure you had the baffles in your cam covers?

How is the easiest way to drop the oil pan?
Pull the motor...seriously. Or you can lift the motor slightly and drop the front subframe out to get the pan out.

Fonz - you really should fix those "minor issues" before you go driving a'bout and getting on the throttle. Is the shut off/turn on sensation near the top end under WOT or close to it? If so you are experienceing "fuel cut" and its there for a reason. Or its possible that you are building boost pressure to a point then your leak becomes a full on blowout. Check to make sure ALL your couplers are on correctly. and dont just wiggle em. Take them off, inspect them for cracks or holes, clean them and put them back on making sure you get the clamps good and tight. If you are still using the stock clamps be careful you dont over tighten though, they strip pretty easily.
