I just read thru this whole thread (started 2 hours ago) and have to say its a beautiful car. Now a question i'd love to know is why didnt you wrap your headers and keep that heat away from the rest of your engine? And what the hell is that huge air filter next to your cone on the turbo. It looks like a breather for something but cant figure out what it goes to. Sorry if im not to familiar with a 2jz. Im about to do a build on my 7m however and over the next year or so, hopefully mine be almost half as clean as yours. I however have some body issues with rust to take care of, and yours looks mint. Also another question is what is your suspension setup, cause I noticed on your dyno pulls that your rear hardly squatted at all. And why a 4th gear pull when I thought standard practice was a 3rd gear pull on the dyno?

Ron -

I'm curious, did you purchase the crimper for your HS-79 hoses or did you have access to one?

If you purchased it, how much was it? It looks like a fairly intricate machine :)

Thanks guys. Most of the dash harness is gone because I also use the motec display.

Justin, I bought the dies thinking I was going to be able to set up my shop press to do the crimping. But after realizing it was going to be too much work, I sent them back and looked for a place locally that can do the crimping for me.

I can't bump my old build thread because it is 270 some days old??. So anyway, here it is..

It's just an update. Car is running perfectly. Dry sump system is working as it should. Exhaust has always been loud and I kinda like it that way, but it has caused me a couple tickets, 4 pull overs, a fight with a neighbor and caused another neighbor to move. So, I decided to make it less loud :)
I am now using the old muffler as a resonator and then got the new Burnsstainless 2 stage muffler as the rear muffler. I am not sure if I will put my "unique" Inconel tip back on since it is not so unique anymore... Here are some pictures:

1) Looks fantastic, as I've come to expect from you! (and happy Father's Day!)

2) You can bump your old build thread. Here's how:

Shoot me a PM if you'd like to bump that with the new exhaust pics/discussion, and I'll close this thread down.

Yup, quite a few people are out just to constantly complain about the car.

There's really no big difference in looks except this one doesn't have the angle cut tip. The muffler is also slightly bigger in diameter.
The difference in sound is very noticeable. It's like the same music but the volume is turned down a little :D
