Jimmy's build thread....goal...11 second 1/4 mile

hey everyone. my name is jimmy. i wanted a place to document everything that i will be doing to the car over the next few months so i figured what better place than the forums.

anyway the starting point will be a 1990 turbo auto that i will be converting to manual and doing a bunch of stuff to. so far all i have are exterior pics.

I'm not understanding that pinstripe. But otherwise a sweet car!! With those wheels it needs to be lowered a little.

i would think that 11s would be easier with an auto, otherwise.. nice car!

yeah now that i look it the pinstripe does look kind of funny but i think its factory. it will get lowered for sure. i also agree that an auto would make 11's easier but i think the r154 would make for a better street car than a car with a built auto. the stock tranny isnt strong enough for the power i want to throw at it.

got a new part in the mail today thanks to turbogate here on the forums, shipped very prompt....anyways, this is the brains of the operation. lol.

got a few more things delivered to the doorstep in the past few days.

na power steering bottle for easier turbo inlet

tial 38mm wastegate with .6 bar spring

RC 550cc injectors and clips

Aeromotive FPR with -10 inlets

all my lines and fittings

well there is a change in plans. the r154 parts i was looking to buy fell through so now i am going to attempt to meet my goal with the a340.

well the head is at the machine shop right now getting resurfaced and my comp 975 springs in. i got all the manual parts in the car just waiting for a new clutch disk to get the r154 put in. ive got my master power t70 here now i just need to take some pics. also i broke the fuel sending unit when removing it so i will be running a -6 braided line from the top of the sending unit with a bulkhead fitting all the way to the rail. i also got my intercooler mounted up. new pics coming soon.

i shouldve went with a N/A p/s thing it looks better hehe
