Many wanted a write up on this.

Tools:
Paint brush or air brush
Paint:
Clear Yellow - I used Tamiya X-24 Model Paint
Car Part:
Fog Light

Only one step. Paint the lights. Clear if you want to.

If your lights look like that you might want to contact chriso :naughty: he has some prefect fog lights for both sets.

Finshed pics.

Nice writeup.
Let me ask you this...since you are painting the outside of the lens, and its just paint how long does it last? With road grit sandblasting bumpers and everything down there, does the paint get blasted away in a few thousand miles?

Mine was done about 2 months ago, and is still holding up. If it does go bad just repaint. This paint should come off with rubbing alcohol and is cheap.

JDM fogs don't have yellow lenses. they have inserts that go in the housings that are yellow. for real jdm tyteness, get the inserts from an is-300, or so i hear.

you could also have used Krylon stained glass spray paint... found at any crafts store.

nice work, anyway. i like the yellow fogs, and i've been wanting to do this, but i don't want yellow lenses, or yellow bulbs. i want to try to find the yellow inserts. :)

oh it definatly looks good, but for ME, i don't want my lenses to be yellow. that's all. :) don't get me wrong, it looks to be a job well done, and of good quality. it's just one of those things that i'm not sure about due to my own taste. :)

hey uk cars have yellow fogs aswell. but a lot of guys here break out the yellow filters to have white fogs. driving with yellow fogs is weird lol. but cool i guess. Alot of retard chaver types in england drive with fogs on all the time and wonder why the police stop them lol

see im daft and kinda can be a chaver sometimes. But not all the time lol. anyway in the uk some of the cars have dim/dip headlights so the headlights must be on before the fogs will work. they also have to have the lights popped up before the side lights in the indicators will work aswell.
