Im still hooked on this car and i have several links to japaneese car suppliers thats not in the US so i can buy the car directly. Here is what i've found. 1993 mk3(YES A 93!) with a 1jzgte w/5speed / 84k km or roughly 48+k miles but its a hardtop for 1100usd/ 1500shipping in container/ 730us for broker fees to clear the car and put it in my hands. other one is a 1991 1ggte 2.0 twin turbo/ auto/ 101km 900usd plus same shipping and broker fees apply.
Illegal as hell but i was thinking of shipping the car, getting it here and then buying a salvaged mk3 or salvaged title and switch vins. uuum, i know illegal but cheap! lol
i was looking at an mkiv with a factory jdm TRD aero kit and deepdish rips, lowered and no mods for 5500, same shipping and broker fees apply. mk4 is a 1995 white/5spd RZ- non turbo version.
I dont wanna bring a car over here thats going to cost me an arm and a leg to legalize, it runs 8-18k depending on the car....i was two seconds away from grabbin a beautiful burgany 1996 r33 gts-t with the rb25det engine for 2500 , but the car has no american counterpart and legalizing to US standards was running 9800usd.. screw that!...what are ya'll thoughts?
