apparently, the throttles are VERY different... anyone know anything about this... there is a rod that runs to the throttle body on the usdm motors, but a cable that runs to the throttle body on the jdm motors, and the cable on mine was cut down to about a foot or so... and no bracket on the other side where the usdm throttle cable runs to :-/ help? i can put up pics if need be

the jdm one has a guide for a cable, and the usdm one has a slot for the rod

Oh wow, Id personally just swap the TB over. I dont think I have a remedy for you, just advice. I have never seen a JDM motor with that.

I would just toss the other TB off the USDM motor and be done with it.And yes the cps needs adjustment most of the time when you swap motors.

I've got a toyota throttle body gasket laying around if you want it, it's brand new in the baggy. But yes, just swap the throttle bodies, and check the timing once you get the motor running.

yeah man, go ahead and swap the TB out for your stocker. It wont take too long. Id say 30-40 min tops. Thats about how long it takes me to change the spark plugs on my GE and the TB def has to come off to get to them. And the gasket is made of metal, whenever I took mine off I simply cleaned it and reused it.

My JDM also did not have the bracket and rod that the USDM ones do. I was not aware there was a difference at the time and just atached a cable. There was a small bracket in front of the TB that held the cable. No problens here.
