I have a 1989 jdm 7mge and it looks to be a front sump pan, think it's out of a cressida. But I upgraded my oil pump ands oil line to the 7mgte pump and when I went to put the pan on it had clearance problems. So I snipped back the oil shield in the pan so it would go on. Do you guys thing that would be alright like that or should I just go ahead and get another oil pan ( the right one). If thats the case than what pan should I be looking for? Did some research and I think it's the mid sump pan but not sure also if any of you guys have the one I need ( mid sump I think) How much shipped to 32503

Cressida oil pan will not fit on a Supra.

You can make it work if you've got a big enough hammer. The only two downsides to this approach are the drastically reduced oil capacity and the pump doesn't do so well when the pickup is crushed. :icon_razz

Ok but this 7m isn't in a supra it's in a 88 rx7.The pan clears the front support frame with no problem just wanted to see if I could utalize the pan. Would anyone have the ma70 up for grabs just incase?

I also bought a cressida motor, I was fortunate enough to have a perfect oil pan from my old 7M that I could swap on, but as everyone else said you need a oil pan from a Mk3.

EDIT: didnt see it was for an RX-7, but I'd still try the Mk3 oil pan.
