well didnt get much of what I wanted to get done today because I got to play the valve shim game. finally got them all in spec and put the timing belt on. and I had to cut the AEM cam gear bolts also (about 2.5mm like IJ said).

one thing was troubling me though, when i put the cams on and then put the cam gears on and rotated them, it sounded like they (the cam or the cam gears not sure) were rubbing on something, looked everywhere but nothing, i think it was just the cam lobes hitting the shim/buckets, and yes I lubbed them good, then when i got the timining belt on and lined it up TDC the noise went away when I cranked the engine by hand....any thoughts?

Looking good Jay, I'm not sure about the noise...
Did you tighten the cam caps in sequence per TSRM?
Can't wait to see that turbo on there.

yup cam caps tighten in sequence. didnt make the noise until I got both cams on. I did the intake first and it spun and made no noise. did the exhaust and spun no noise, put the cam gears on and spun and heard noise again, not sure it might have been the rear timing cover hitting something. dont know, the noise is gone now that the belt is on and has tension.

anyone know if they make a 12mm to 1/2 union. I have 1/2 npt (and/or -6AN) power steerring hoses/cooler but the connection into the steering column is either 10 or 12 mm.

Jay: My cooler is plumbed into the low pressure return line from the Rack back to the Reservoir.

Here is the line I took off, I might just have to get a new on and tap in down the line.

I come from a land down under
Jay: That's the correct low pressure return line, but isn't it like 10mm/ 3/8" id hose ?

How big is the cooler you're going to run on it?

The one I bought is tiny, about 4"x4"x3/4" thick.

I've seen people use the stock Engine Oil cooler for the PWR Steer after upgrading it to a full flow system.

mine is about 3" X 12'' cylinder, and I bought a B&M Super cooler for the oil.

The low pressure line is the same as the high pressure line right next to it, so I think using this thread: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133&highlight=ps+lines ,it will work.
