Well there are a few people on sf that have bought very clean cars from people that don't know what they are. One example is guy that goes by the name of $9kTT, and his car is really clean!

I doubt think you'll be under 4k cheap though. The cheapest MKIV I could find is $6,600 and there are quite a few MKIV's knocking about here.
I was just lucky, a freind of mine actually sent me the link of the car for sale. I went and looked at it and made an offer. It was advertised in the paper the same day and I think he got tired of all the 16 year old kids with no money calling and just dumped it.
the car is not perfect, I am going to have it painted, and is has a few small door dings.
but man just look on ebay, there's one on there 93 na that's crashed hard in the front and rear, the bids at 7600 right now, with the same mileage.
don't get me wrong I love my mk3, It's going to be hard to get rid of it. I have a lot of time and money in it. It's NOT going to happen right away but I will have to part it out to get the needed funds to get the new car as I want it. I hate to do it but there is no way I could sell the whole car for as much as I could parting it out, It WILL be a sad day for me. but with that said I am looking forward to building up the new one.

Well the Paint job is complete, turned out really nice. now is where the bittersweet moment begins, I have to part out the MK3:cry: where the Supra obsession began, I have a ton of money and time into that car but it's the only way to pay for the build on the new one, wish I could keep both but it's just not gonna happen. WOW!!!! under 4K holey shit you got one hell of a deal!!! nice find and good luck with it oo and please don't put a 7M in there yea you might be "diffrent" or "hip" or what ever they call it theses days but nothing beats great runing high hp not saying that a 7M is a bad motor it's a great motor and with the right set up it will move but why move back in time.
