so basically what the title says is whats going on. I finally got all the electronics needed for the swap except for the tach electronics but i can install those later on. My car goes down tomorrow night or friday night to sart tearing everything apart and put the parts that i do have on. I have been waiting for this swap for so long im completely happy and so excited to see it complete!!!! I will post pics and the such and all that as i go through each step and to update everything thats going on. All in all im guesssing that it will take about a day total to park the car swap everything out and over and get most of the bugs figured out and fixed!!!!! i cant wait i had to post it. Mods if this is in the wrong section my bad please relocate to the right section thanks!!!!

Presumably because the coil packs are the "da shit" or because someone's convinced they'll make more power running an N/A with a completely different fuel map, less agressive timing, and a KV AFM (which IMO is junk, just not quite as bad as the VAF AFM in the N/A)..... I can't recall which it was in this case, but it's usually one of the two.

actually its cuz my afm went out and i was collecting the parts anyways for the full turbo swap and i figured why not i dont care about how well it will run without the turbo cuz in about a month im going full turbo till i finsh the swap stats on the 1uz. i figured this would get flamed on but i dont care i will let you all know how it runs and all that when i get it done finally and i know it has all the none aggressive timing and better fuel mapsi had the pats laying around and im about done swthcing everything over from na to turbo except for the harness which should be here tonight or tomorrow and then it will be done thanks for the input though!!!

well it took alot longer than i thought it would and i stilll have a couple problems to figure out but i got it running tonight. I bought all new injector seals cuz 2 were leaking and i have a nasty vacuum leak cuz i was 180 out. i think its the gasket that attaches the mani to the head so i gotta find it for sure and fix that before its completely driveable again. all in all it was definately an interesting experience doing this type of swap. Hopefully it makes the rest of the turbo swap easier than ive heard it is doing it all at once. I will keep everyone updated on how it works out, what lights im throwing and codes and how to fix them. I will also update on driveability and if it actually improved things on the car or not. thanks for readin the input and all the feedback on this also thanks again all

ok all my car is running ok enough now. Im going to sac tomorrow to pick up my HAC sensor to finish removing my check engine lights. i also just installed the turbo o2 sensor found my intake air temp sensor problem i think or hope. and also im about to buy the rest of my full turbo mechanical parts to finish the full swap in the next month or so at max. This is my update on all the stuff once its completely done ill elt you all know how it goes. But like everyone says once you boost theres no going back :evil2: i have no codes now i took care of the second knock sensor code by wiring them in series not parallel so no codes. I also just cleared my HAC sensor code!!!!!!!! hella happy with the car other than a small coolant and oil leak which is getting fixed tomorrow!!!!! and im removing the ACIS butterfly valve cuz its not working at all and the motor is being restricted on top end which is where i do most of my driving nowadays anyways. thanks all for the input good or bad!!!
