So a toyota threw up in the bed of my truck....










and now my 95 s14 with kouki front wants to eat it....




I wasnt going to start this till next spring but I got a HELLAVAH deal on the swap. Now I just need to decide whether to rebuild the r154 5 speed tranny, buy a boost logic built auto and precision converter, or sell the auto and 5 speed and get the 6 speed v160. This will be a slow build because i was not planning to buy the swap this early. I already have Q45 calipers, rotors, TB, rear diff, 1 axle, and the rear hubs with aluminum uprights. Car has Tein springs and AGX struts on it. It is a SE with no sunroof which was exactly what I wanted. As i get stuff in or removed I will update with pics.


It is a JDM Aristo 2jz-gte, r154 tranny, new 1jz flywheel and 1jz bellhousing.

more parts...







Got bored today and started the wire tuck for the engine bay. I was originally going to relocate it to the air bag location on the passengers side. I did not want to splice all those wires so i took a little extra time and pulled the harness back through the cabin of the car. Now, I think I am going to put it in the trunk.















I also tore the motor down in preparation for head bolts and possibly some cams. And of course, for new timing belt, tensioner, water pump and all that other crap.

With the engine in the bay the stock 2JZ mounts are too far forward and the wrong angle of the dangle. So I was curious and swapped the passenger side mount in place with the driver side and vise versa. All mounts line up perfectly but the angle is still off. The hood will close the way it sits but the motor will obviously have to come up once some kind of motor mount is between the motor and cross-member. It shouldn't be a problem but it will be close. I'm not sure I am going to risk making my own mounts and not get the motor square and centered.

Well, not much work being done just buying parts

marlin crawler steel bering retainer for tranny.


my front knock senor basically fell apart when i removed the harness. And my tranny didnt come with a shift fork.


underdrive pulleys.


Gates timing belt and new tensioner.


Brian Crower 264 cams. Gottem used for a decent price.


This is an adaptor that changes the output of the R154 tranny from a cable speedo to an electronic pulse, courtsey of driftmotion.

I do need to find out what all wires these go to. The car had no engine in it for reference. I know the one resistor pack thingy is for the Auto tranny. Since I am removing all unnecessary wiring from the engine bay i need to know if I need to bring any of these wires back into the bay.





The harness is not in its final location it was just a test fit to see how it would look and function in this location.

Haven't updated this in awhile so here ya go....

Been working on the car here and there, not much to post. I will be getting some of the more "baller" parts here in the next week or so....and heres some pics for Kevin lol.

Tial 50mm BOV..



JDM kouki bumper and lights...



Pulled the rear diff and axles out today. I think I will be able to leave the stock Q45 diff cover on...well cause its just cooler lookin'!



Guess I am going to try my hand at rebuilding the calipers at all for corners...


These are first of the redesigned zero lift mounts, production mounts will look much better...the rubber mounts are just some I got off Egay.

4" midpipe, 4" downpipe should be here soon.


Greddy knock off....in actuality it looks nice and came with gaskets and brackets.


This is with the Q45 TB installed. Fit really well but I think I will have to open up the intake hole just a tad....

Well the motor should be back together this week. I just had it freshened up, for my power goals everyone said I should be fine, guess only time will tell. Got some more parts...of course.

Cleaned up the wheel well and installed the Q45 brakes....

The pictures are crappy and don't do the powdercoating justice at all. As usual Brian Peck is the man, best coater around by far. We still have a few more things to P/C, get some things ceramic coated, etc. Coming together good though.
