My ISC does not make a sound either...it's a screw type actuator. If you want to test it, unplug it with the car running and idle stablized. This freezes it in the idle position. Remove and take a look to check position of the valve. Re-install and plug it back in, start car for a minute, turn off (plugged in) and remove. The valve should be at full open. I'll bet your ISC is fine. If you haven't already, you might as well clean it.

Idle on a turbo car is 650 rpm. Remember, you can't drive it without a check valve...it prevents boost back flow.

I am having the exact same issue you are. ^

The car will idle ok when 1st started and always runs great on the gas.
When I let it idle @ operating temp it gets rough and will eventually die. I'm not pulling any codes either. This happened to me one time @ one stop-light last week, then went away. Now it's gauranteed.

LMK what you found-out. I've cleaned my ISC 2 times now and callibrated my TPS.

guys, not sure if it's a ticking sound or a small rattle when i turn it off. so not sure if is the ISCV

first off, when i turn it on, it stutters at 1000 RPM's for a split second then jumps between 2500 to 3000 RPM's.
is there supposed to be hoses connected on the top or bottom of the ISC? from what i see from the TSRM, they're coolant hoses.
the TPS is good, and the TB is closed when off. also, the hose from the back of the BOV that routes through the pipe on the front of the 3000 pipe, does it connect to the pipe underneath the TPS on the Intake Manifold? or where does it connect to? got a pic.

those hoses are coolant lines, some people have them, and some bypass them so they dont have to deal with it.....if your not leaking coolant then its prob. bypassed.
as far as the high idle, is your dash pot ajusted right? how about the TPS calibration?

i'll double check the dash pot tomorrow, the tps is fine, i took it off this morning to check it, along with the isc. hoping it IS just the dashpot since the tsrm says if you squeeze it, it will idle up to where my idle is.

again....the hose from the back of the BOV that routes through the pipe on the front of the 3000 pipe, does it connect to the pipe underneath the TPS on the Intake Manifold? or where does it connect to?
