Where did you get your info? Toyota never gave up. If you’re talking about the MKIII, the end result of that is the MKIV.Tons of engineering works and money. No one in the manufacturing industry moves backward to correct the problems. Engineering moves forward for a better result to the next generation. Engineering learn their mistake always from the previous end result and you go forward from there. It takes tons of research, credibility, and massive test before any one agrees to put their name behind others product. Now, do you think they be willing to risk their reputation? It takes money and engineering mind to improve/modified your vehicle to your expectation and if you’re one of the guys that put bigger turbos (HP), try to know better then the engineer, and expect the car to hold up more then to what it’s capable of.
