the TEMS helps a lil till it goes out, so then ya upgrade, I'd look for a turbo model myself, I just don't like the NA's much. I got a 90, sport pack turbo model for 3500, good shape, leather, and only one owner.

i got my 87 turbo for 2000 and it needs painted but othe rthan that it was flawless egine / interior wise i would save for a turbo you said you wanted to do a swap youll have as much or more than you paid for the car into it before you even get everytihng you need for the swap . id pay 15 - 2000 for a turbo now instead of doing a swap later and have it add up to 2500 + till you get a turbo. thats just me though ps if you get a turbo car youd get the turbo tranny as well which is build liek a brick shit house

looking around some, the cheapest Turbo MK3 Supra that i can find is around 3k. So thats totally out of the question for my budget, i have also seen full 7M-GTEs (with all the required parts) sell on ebay for under 1k. I also wouldnt mind leaving my Supra out of commission for a week or two to do the swap, i have a second car so i wouldnt be stuck stayin at home all the time.

I bought my '88 hardtop turbo 5 spd for 1650.00, the kid wanted 2k, lol. My cousin got his '87 targa turbo 5 spd for 1k... lucky bastard, all it needed was a new HG, plus his is leather whereas mine is cloth.

1200 isnt a bad price at all, and when u gt tired of the powerless N/a engine u can scrap it and put gte or a 1j in it and u still didnt spend too much on the shell

so anyways, since i was going to buy this supra. i started getting into title stuff and etc. well it turns out that when the guy bought the supra (in the first place) he never signed it over to his own name. he has also lost the bill of sales. That means that the car isnt really his...so I cant sign it over to my name which pretty much means that unless this guy sorts out the title into his name, i wont buy it from him. Meanwhile, im going to look for another MK3 supra in houston. If anyone knows of some supras under 2.5k in Houston, TX. please tell me. Thanks!

hello? how are Supras on Emissions tests? is it hard to make em pass?

There are no good or bad cars. They have to keep the standard from that year. If the car is working properly and has its OEM control devices, it will pass emissions, even in California.

Well, i meant more as in that some cars have emissions systems that fail earlier than others and etc.

Check all the fluids and look under the car to see if there is any oil on the ground. Look for rust under the spare tire. See if the coolant looks weird like there is rust. Thats all i can really think of right now but im sure someone else can give you some more stuff to check.
