Also, what advantages/disadvantages would these hoses going nowhere offer?

This is my first supra AND turbo engine, so I'm trying to read everything up on this engine that I can. I consulted the Cygnus TSRM, but it is a little confusing and couldn't find this. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? I'm assuming this has to do with the guy I bought it from installing the aftermarket K&N filter setup.

How would I go about fixing this if it is a problem? Thanks for anything at all.

the picture with the intercooler pipes in it looks ok.....except maybe for that awful wrap around the pipes....is that tin foil?

the first pic with the two hoses is your pvc system...i have seen guys put breathers on them but others like myself use a catch can. That is done to keep the oil out of your intercooler pipes..those look like stock pipes too so i would just get a normal pvc harpipe and do it the way it says in the TSRM..

the air filter pic looks ok....that plug in the pic may be the windshield washer fluid container plug....

correct me if i am wrong guys!

Those are your PCV hoses. They draw vacuum from the motor. You need those.

See, thats what I thought as well,but there seems to be blow by coming out of them. Light smoke. Was someone saying I join them together with a hardpipe?

and yeah, i think the guy put tin foil on it. said it 'dissipates heat better'.......

No, they need to be routed either like stock or to a catch can. There are several write ups about that, search.

Done. Is the small amount of smoke emitting from them ok?

chances are that the car was having blow by problems before he put those hoses there....and i bet if you pull one of your intercooler pipes....you will see a layer of oil on the inside of the pipe. If you do then there is no reason for you to worry about excess oil in the pipes now....atleast until you get new pipes. just connect it to the stock hardpipe and be done with it....

someone needs to :slap: the previous owner of your car for that tin foil

check and make sure the second pic hose dosent have any vacuum. it may run to the underside of the accordian intake hose for the power steering.

Yep first pic, reroute to stock, i would say previous owner has hacked off the two joiners for the pcv system so you may need a replacement hardline.

Second pic, the pod filter adapter, has that been drilled and then blocked with something on the side? It looks like there is a rubber bung in it... for what purpose i have no idea lol

Third pic, yep agreed, looks like your progressive power steering line which goes onto the bottom of the intake. Also by your filter i saw a white two pin plug, that can be two things. a) abs sensor b) progressive power steering plug. You'll have to have a look to see which.

1. When you say reroute to stock, I don't know where to reroute it to? I know that I will join these two lines again, but where do I route them next?

2. I'm not quite sure what you're looking at that has been drilled? blocked????? The only thing I see in this pic is my filter and then that white electrical plug plugging away into nothing.

3. Here is a hose that has a small bolt inserted in the end. ?¿? Is this what you mean by bung in it? Maybe save the picture and circle it and repost it? Thank you guys so much for your help.
