Is this fuel cut, or something else?

When the car is warmed up and I drive it hard, at about 5500 RPM the engine stutters and the car lurches really bad until I shift or let off. It is mostly stock with the exception of full 3" exhaust, Spearco FMIC, piping (2.5" I think), and it boosts at about 10-11 PSI. Stock fuel, ecu, etc. Does this sound like its just my fuel system being inadequete? Could it be a bad fuel pump, or do I just need to upgrade my fuel system with 10+ PSI? Or does this sound like something totally different? Any thoughts appreciated. And on a side note, having never experienced it myself, what kind of symptoms does fuel cut have?

Your check engine light may blink for a quick second while this happens.
I forgot about that, but yes, it does. So at 10 PSI the stock fuel system is not enough I take it? What components do I need to upgrade? I'm guessing pump and injectors. Anything else?

Fuel system has ZERO relation too fuel cut....

Although if you raise fuel cut with electronics or whatever you best have the fuel system too handle it!

Oh. So what exactly is Fuel Cut then, and what happens when I hit it? How do I fix it? Sorry to ask you all the questions, but you've been really helpful to me throughout the entire project.

Your afm (electronics mounted infront of the turbo) is what fuel cut comes from....there are plenty ways too raise fuel cut but all of them cost $$$$ in the end...

For me too tell you your best option too raising fuel cut I'd need too know your cars condition and your most reasonable power goals.

Fuel cut is when the afm starts reading too much air going threw your system "stock"...it turns your fuel injectors off killing the motor briefly too save the engine from damage...

Basicly you're at the max the stock system will let you push.

At the moment, I'll be happy at 300 WHP, but I eventually want to go much bigger. But for now we'll call it 300. And lol, I know what the afm is, I'm not totally car dumb. I'm a 3rd year auto student, but they only teach OBD II electronics these days. I've hardly learned anything that is pre-OBD II in school other than OBD-I has less info, and isn't as standardized. So I'm not as good with the older electronics/engine controls.
