Is my boost gauge is off by 3 psi?

I pulled my cluster recently and noticed that my autometer boost guage reads around 3 psi with nothing connected to it. I don't see any adjustment or calibration. Is this thing off? Pic:

It is twice a day............:biglaugh:

When the guage is plugged up in your car with vacuum, does it go back to negative or stay at 3psi? Make sure there's nothing in there keeping it from going back to 0 or negative.

It may just be the way it is weighted. When you hook vacuum up to it, it will probably go back to 0.............:dunno:

It's a mechanical gauge. It should go to 0 when reading atmospheric pressure.

Yes, something's wrong with your gauge. I have a similar problem with one of my gauges. I just add 2psi to whatever it says. I can't be bothered to fix it.

Werd. I have the crap Autometer mech. boost gauge, and it reads 2psi when off, meaning I've got 18in. vac when it shows 16, and 12psi boost when it shows 10.
