Is it possible to run 7M-GTE in N/A mode?

My car was at a friends house and they wanted me to move it back to my place which is a few blocks away. I put the AFM straight onto the intake manifold and tried to run it. It idled fine, but would stumble and have no power when in gear.

Anyone know if it is possible to run it like this? I don't want to push the pig 6 blocks. :icon_mad:

sure it was plugged in? try wiggling the wires, i ran my car like this once to get it into my garage.

It'll move but it struggles and burns a LOT of gas. The turbo is still connected, but no intercooler pipes.

If you only need to go 6 blocks you could probably put it in 1st gear and start it and let it idle all the way there.

Your supra *should* be able to limp 6 block without the AFM even plugged up (ask JJ if you don't believe me).

Tis true. Limp hell, as long you feather the pedal and don't ask for too much acceleration it should run close to normal with the AFM disconnected. Mine does. That's how it's supposed to work too.

I was making larger 2.5 in IC pipes since I just installed a T61! Starts spooling around 2,000 rpm and I get full boost around 4k. :biglaugh:

Plus my buddies parents were being asses.

Haha, yeah I made it home and put the T61 in the car and it runs GREAT! Only one problem now, I hit FC at around 4,000 rpms when I smash the gas pedal. :cry:
