I know this is a part on our cars that usually never go bad but i think i may need a replacement.

Currently my car is overheating and can not be driven for more then 10-15 minutes. I changed the thermostat and removed the radiator had it cleaned, flush and pressure tested and its like new now. There is no coolant leaks. The car just over heats.
I started the car and removed the radiator cap, the coolant just looks like its standing there barely moving. There is no noise coming from the water pump pulley, and theres no play in it at all.
Lastly after the engine warms up, the upper radiator hose is extremely hot while the bottom one is cold. what does this mean?
I need this car fixed cause its currently my daily driver. My 15 minute highway driving commute to work changed into a 1 1/2hr bus and train ride one way.
Thanks

yeah just take a chance and change the water pump. Your water pump just might be bad.

sounds like water pump. was your car fully warmed up to operating temp when you took the cap off? if the thermostat was closed there wouldnt be too much flow

Agreed, take it off and check it. Not like it's a major job, you can get it off in ~45 minutes.

I have seen water pumps with the blades inside so badly corroded that they were incapable of pushing water anymore.
