I am new to the mkIII supras, and this is my first one. The car runs great but every time I drive the car it will usually have a blip of power loss. I will be driving down the road(car can be on cruise and off cruise) and the car will just act like it lost fuel for a split second, it wont even knock the car off cruise control, but it does jerk the whole car when this happens. It does sometimes happen twice a day, but normally once. I have cleaned the grounds on the car, the spark plugs to the correct NGK's, and cleaned the Igniter box. I just hate it when it happens when I am getting on it under boost and the car jerks real hard, and then keeps climbing in power. I dont understand what this glitch in the power is from, but its anoying. Also the car never has a steady idle, its consistantly raising and lowering from 800-950 rpms. It will hardly ever stay at 800. Any help, tips and tricks for these cars will be great. At present all it has is a Bic DP and Tanabe 3" catback with 3" test pipe.:1zhelp:

I do know that every once in a while that a CEL will come on and as soon as I turn the ignition off and then back on it goes away for a day or two and then out of no were it will just come on again. No parts houses around here can check the computer on this old of a car(1987?). So they say.

of course because there is no diagnostic port, but there is a diagnostic box
