Yes, begin with the seats so that you have room to work.

Then just get our your phillips screwdriver and your 8/10mm socket wrenchs and start pulling out things one by one. Not that hard. Once you get into it you should figure it out. The supra interior is very well assembled with real nuts, bolts and other metal attachments for the most part. So just don't go yanking at anything that's not ready to come off; chances are there is a hidden screw or clip holding it in place and you just need to think about it a little bit or post back with a specific question.

Finally, leave the carpet in if it is in good shape. It has felt padding underneath which will tear if you remove it. If you have to remove it though, use some Scotch 3M 77 spray adhesive when you put it back down. This also works well for the headliner.

If you're wanting to get to the roof, start @ the bottom. Seats, rear seat side panels, rear carpet, spare cover, spare, hatch panels, seatbelts and then the 1/4 window trim pieces (pull/pry carefully on these). A-pillar panels, visors and mirror. You should then be able to drop the headliner panel. All these other panels overlap the headliner. Trust me, I just did an interior swap.

get a mig welder andsome steel sticks tack it on to the dents and try to pull hte dents once the dents are pulled out as best you can use light pressure pulling them out and have someone with a light hammer tap in a circle aroudn the crown of the dent ( outer circle edge) the take a disc cutter and cut off the stick then aply minimal bondo the less you aply the less chance you have of it cracking or lifting and if you used the mig welder method you can do it all from out side the car. also have some dry ice or i guess regular ice works too for right after you tack it and get it hot from the welder and set it on the dented area it will cause the heated metal to cool rapidly and there for shrink and pull tight making the dent almost pull its self and pull th emetal tighter. thats what i did with my passenger door and it took very well and i never pulled the door panel of its a sheet of glass now hope i helped

If you have not started yet. and have not done this before. Let me suggest getting some ZIPLOCK BAGS and a sharpie. I’m thinking you should save all the screws and bolts you remove and label them in the bag. I am guessing you are going to need to re-install this stuff and it would suck searching for the correct screw in a box..?

Just an idea! Good Luck!

It's not as bad as it seems. You just need to be gentle w/ the old trim that's closing in on being 20 years old and sunbaked for most of it's life. Just take your time. A magnetic tray is the bomb when doing this. Keeps all the "little" things together.

Thanks guys we are probably just going to tear apart the interior and just fix it maybe like next year

right now we have a knock sensor to worry about and its the one next to the starter it sucks
yeah i think its going to have those dents for years to come
i have a motor with over 300,000 miles on it so thats 1st and i need to change my door mecanism to my 89 so that way i don't have to lift the door handle because we have an 87 door on good thing we saved the insides of the other one =)
