interior questions

I'm asking for some info from all you guys who have done your own interior, when doing leather yourself, how many yards did you have to get to do all the seats, and door panels? I want to get a ballpark range of price and materials before I decide to go for it.

thanks, did you sow it yourself? if so what type of thread did you use? If i decide to do this ill prob be asking for some help from the mother.... lol

What is your budget like. You can buy sewen kits from www.leatherinteriors.com starting at $700/kit and install them yourself. Or you can buy an entire hide of leather and about 2 yards of matching vinyl. A hide of leather ranges between $600-$1200 depending. Vinyl is about $25-$50 per linear yard. Then the cost to have an upholsterist (recommended) stitch them up. Which would be roughly $500.
