I am going to get my seats re-covered and possibly carpet. After my engine rebuild. Currently I have the Burgundy interior. My dash, doors and headliner is really in great shape. So I am not trying to change the color. My question is I am thinking of 2-tone seats. Burgundy and black inserts. The car will be painted Black Gun metal flake. (its black now). Do you think the Burgundy with black insert will look better then all burgundy? I was thinking of doing the carpet in black flake also. What do you guys think?

Anyone have pics of a 2-tone seat?

thanks!

In my opinion man, stay all burgandy and do a contrasting stitch. It'll be nice and subtle. Since burgandy is already a dark color, you dont want to add a darker color to the center as it will attract attention away from the center of the seats. If you really want to do different color insert i'd suggest something like a beige or tan color. When I did my interior I stayed far away combining my exterior colors with my interior, this is why it stands out soo much.

My seats are a BMW Montana Red with a grey stitching. But you can see how there really stand out from any angle you look at my car. Here's a great site that will help make the decision even easier. www.autoleathers.com

^^ I agree with Suprastic

I like the burgandy interior but I don't think that having black centers would look very good even though your exterior is going to be/stay black. I like the contrasting stitching like he suggested too, but if you wanted black incorporated maybe you could have black stitching? Black Supra logo (MKIII style) in the head rest?

Yea I like that idea. All burgandy seats w/ the Supra logo in the headrest in black! Thats it. SOLD.

Thanks for the help!

I got my burgundy seats re-done in a two tone black and burgundy, and in my opinion, i think it looks bad ass. Here are some pics (sorry for the dirtyness, the pollen in arkansas this time of year is terrible).

now if i could just do something about the carpet (idiot sent us the wrong color) and the door panel inserts (black maybe?)

i hate to be a bitch...but i see this alot.

when people ask for "advice" and put "advise" it really irritates me. sorry, but when you ask someone for advice you want them to point you in the right direction. when you ask someone to advise, youre asking them to counsel you.
