Ok, so after a nice semi-long build-up (yes, there will be a thread with pics once she runs), I have come to a halt on my progress.
The only issues I have left to fix seem to not be so simple. The transmission is .5" too far back, which keeps me from bolting up the carrier bearing for the DS. But let me explain from the beginning:
87 N/A chassis with a rebuilt 87 7mgte. 87 gte harness/ecu/dash. R154 transmission. Front half of the DS is the R154, the rear half is from the N/A w58 DS so that it bolts up to the stock diff.
The problem I am having is that the transmission and its mount are 1/2" or so too far back. My question is:
Is there a difference between the driver side and passenger side motor mount brackets or motor mounts?
Edit - This question was inspired by Applesauce: What is the difference between the R154 and W58 transmission brackets? I may not have the right one.
