I have some bent fins on my stock intercooler and was wondering if there's any shops that do intercooler "refurbishing" per say. If not I'd just get hard pipes and probably the Spearco replica.

In theory you could run some solvents through your stock intercooler to rid it of contaminents such as oil. However, if you were to pay a shop to do such work as well as pay for straightening the fins you may as well of just payed for the hardpipe intercooler setup you are talking about getting anyways. So I guess I'd recommend just going with a hardpipe/intercooler setup.

Ok, I'll probably end up doing that after getting my DDP and test pipe. How is the Spearco replica? Is it one that relies on 100% airflow because I currently have a front plate in front of my stock one. I thought I read somewhere that they are designed where they need all the airflow, unlike the stock ones.

my stock IC fins look similar to this. That tool did nothing but bend the fins out of line

id remove it and flush with gas, then maybe a light coat of BBQ/grill paint (black)

How hard is it to remove? Keep in mind I have a GReddy GRacer bumper.
