There are certain types of paint that will transfer the heat off the intercooler better than others. IIRC the stock oil cooler and intercooler have some type of paint like what I'm talking about on them...

If i was you i would use radiator paint since it is made for that same sort of thing. If you used spray paint that is too thick it can clog up the spaces in between the fins.

Yo mike, I used some rustoleum flat black primer and just shot a super thin layer on my 240sx intercooler and it worked:icon_bigg :icon_bigg great. Your car looked sweet in person when I saw it at Jose's shop!!!

Some of the camaro guys i know painted theirs and they have only logged a few degrees higher air temps.

aslong as not many coats arent' applied shoud have no temp/eff. problems

I however like shiny stuff :p
