intercooler noob question

when shopping for an intercooler and determining dimensions, does it usually include the end tanks as well?

For example:

DM has an intercooler whose dimensions are 24x9x3 where as this eBay one has dimensions stating the core size is 24x12x3 and the intercooler itself is 30x12x3.

So I guess what I'm really asking is when retailers list the dimensions of an intercooler, does that usually include the end tanks as well or is it just the core's dimension?

from my experience- depends on the retailer....most of the time its just the core. then they will tell u the inlet sizes

the guy i bought mine from off of ebay listed core size, tank to tank ends, inlets, height, and thickness.
