Integration Relay #2 pic?

Anyone happen to have a pic of what the Integration Relay #2 looks like, and possibly where / how it mounts? I suspect there is a problem with mine, and I'm not looking forward to the contortionist madness required to get to it. At least there's no cage in my car...

trial and error? but heres the info off mine, which is laying on my desk. (i suspose i could part with it if you need it bad enough) if you pull the drivers seat out it makes getting under the dash a little easier, although the mounting clip broke off on mine when i pulled it out of my parts car (i took the dash out first)

Dunno what size man you are Grim, but it's really not all that hard to get to. As bioskyline pointed out, take out the driver seat and it's MUCH easier to gain access to under-dash wiring and electronics. Granted, when you're ~5'-8" and ~120lbs, not too many things are hard to get to haha...

Well, I'm bigger than you, but I suspect that's the case for most of the guys here. And some of the girls. ;) My biggest issue isn't size, it's age... once upon a time I could work on my back on an uneven surface for all day when required, but those days are long gone. Now I get sore just looking at the floor of my car. I know about the seat removal trick... problem is finding space to pull a seat in the garage in the winter! And that's also the area that my car alarm is mounted... AND I have the 92 dash, which bolts up a lot more securely than the older ones, read, a lot more difficult to remove / install. :(

I have 3 of them in my hand. 2 of the 3 have the infamous cracked mounting tab on the side, but it also has a mounting point on the other end and the front. I would assume the different mounting points means that it can be found in more Toyotas than just the Supra. But, you could mount it from the opposite end, and it would fit just the same, just backwards.

I also have 2 different part numbers, one of them ends in 20011, where the one bioskyline posted says 20012. I have 2 of the 20012's as well. If I recall, it is not that hard to get to, but difficult to get it off of the post it mounts to. For $5 and whatever the cost of a flat rate box to Canada is, I would send you one of each part number, and a pigtail if you need it.

Thanks dude. I'm going to test the thing this weekend, then I'll know if I'm chasing wiring gremlins or replacing this.

Just take the lower cover off the dash under the column and reach under there and slide it off it's bracket (it's clipped on, no bolts required). It hangs down pretty low once unclipped so working the connector isn't hard. And that pic I think I set the camera on the floor and pointed in the general direction :)

Look at Poodle's picture, and you can see an unused mounting spot. There is a small bump that appears to clip into a hole on the mounting stem (on the other end from the one in the picture). They will pull off without releasing the bump, but that is probably the reason so many of them get broken. You should probably be able to use a small screwdriver from the top to release it without breaking it. But, you may be able to test it without removing it at all.

Hint: Push the plug in before you push the release, and then pull it out.

For anyone who was following along, the relay was fine.

The actual problem was the suspension, specifically the coilovers. Seems unconnected, right? Well, coilover suspension allows the car to be lowered far enough that on hard bumps, the front left tire can contact the wiring harness running under the front fender. Enough of this type of contact will wear through the wiring in the harness, causing all sorts of mayhem. In this particular instance, causing the green / black wire to the LH retractor motor plug to become... disconnected. This had actually happened some time ago - looks like the insulation was worn off the wire a while back, and the exposed wire corroded until it finally stopped acting like a conductor and started acting like my first marriage... dysfunctional.

I'm going to count myself as lucky, because there's all sorts of wires in that harness that could cause a LOT bigger problems than a headlight that won't retract.

This exact thing happened to me also. Although my wires were not tucked up properly at the time and my fender skirt was out.....
