I tried to run the insulators as shown in the pic, but they create too much gap between the pumps and wont go through the opening on the tank. I didn't want to modify the tank so I ran without the insulators and they barely squeezed in with the zip ties around them. I've been driving the car a lot over the last few weeks and I haven't noticed any kind of a problem. Aside from a little fuel pump noise, which I actually find comforting knowing I can audibly hear my pumps working and if there was a problem I would hear it, you would think my car was just about stock by the way it starts, idles and cruises. Sorry for the thread jack.

Now did you insulate the two pumps?, I heard that you should put some foam or magnetic shielding around the pumps when running them close togeather?

I used a foam/rubber insulator made just for this item courtesy of blackdevilsupra.;):naughty:

I had a hole drilled next to the CSI on the rail Dave.;) I have been sitting on this for over 1 year.

My set up looks some thing like yours but I used one insulator Dave. I also elimanated all the stock lines on the tank insert. There are3 fittings installed instead. I have 2 -6 90 degree male feeds that have braided S/S lines going to the pumps. Then I have -6 male 90 degeree fitting going to a return hose that runs all the way to the fuel regulator. The-6 feeds go to both ends of the fuel rail courtesy of chevyeater.

nice...mines a -8 straight up split to -6s on both ends of the rail. The return is -6 but eventually turns back to the stock return line. Your's is def more heavy duty, but I haven't had any problems with mine. I was worried about the stock return being too small, but I was able to get my fuel pressure where I wanted it no problem.

My truck is -10 split to -6s with a full -6 return, but with an A1000, not dual walbros. I would of done it this way again but I picked up a deal on the -8 setup in the grey car so I went with it. I am happy with it so far. The spring meet should have a lot of fast MKIIIs!

The instructions on my A1000 say that sumping is "highly recommended" ... but not required if used w/ a large bore, unrestricted pickup tube.
It also suggests mounting the external pump lower than the tank, and - if not sumped - to keep the tank a minimum of half-full.
