If you still have the original intake elbow, all you have to do is just find some piping and slap a K&N filter on it. If not, just get a 90degree coupler.
On my way back from Cali(where I picked up my 1j) I couldn't stand the stock intake it had. So, I stopped somewhere in Utah and found one of those universal intake pipes at an Autozone and it worked fine. Matter of fact, it looks just like Trev's intakes that he was selling. You don't really have to fancy something like an intake, lol. I'll take some pics if you need some ideas. -Tom
