how close is the runner spacing from the 1jz manifold to the 1jz? could you weld the top part of the 1jz to the bottom part of a 7m manifold?

would a 1jz manifold work on a 2jz?

people have taken the 2jz manifold and converted it to fit the 7m runners. its a good bit of work. but other than some cutting and welding it will bolt right up!

Curious to how close the spacing is from center of runner of cylinder 1 to center of runner on cylinder 2. IE can i take a 2j manifold, chop of the bolt flange and weld a 7m's?
Same for 1j if anyone knows that either.

not going to work, see my above post. the spacing is off enough that it makes it not fun. get a mani from sethron/ron/custom build one from scratch

I can see it worth it if you can get a after market 2j manifold and only have to compensate for a few millimeters, anything more than that and it would be a waste of time.

none, don't have the engine in the car yet, and it would cost a prohibitive amount to have more made unless i had them cast.

funky_monkey has been throwing a few up in the FS section every now and then. he's been selling them for $550 which is a decent price for them

and for another $200, you could have on of Ron R.'s manifolds flanged for any throttlebody you want, any provision you want, and the quality is 1000x better than a cut/welded set of stock manifolds...

dont forget about the line he has waiting for a chance to buy one, not to say it isnt worth it. however, im going to play the numbers card and say you cant compare without testing because for all we know they may flow similar.it all depends on what you want: performance, looks, ease of maintance.

hmm going to go look at ron's thread now...
