The lower bar represents the oem fuel rail and injectors for gasoline and the upper one near the plenum is another fuel rail + 6 injectors dedicated for methanol.

Has anyone tried or heard of using two fuel rails on the intake runners before? I had something like this in mind:

The only setback with that setup is you cannot control the flow into each cylinder as precisely as an injector with stand alone engine management, so that is why I want a methanol injector for each runner.

Talk to IJ about that. I bet he will set you straight ;) If having a fuel rail with injectors was better or that each runner needs better flow control for meth he would have done that.

But to all there own. By the way what stand alone are you using for this?

I come from a land down under
All depends on percentages of Methanol if it's low % my approach works fine and is only to get me over the torque peak spark blowout without resorting to a seriously expense/complex ignition system.

If you were using high percentages of Methanol and trimming gas using an advanced ECU to control the additional injectors it makes sense as you would be able to trim each injector.
(I'm assuming you have an M800 MoTeC or better and 6x WB02 or EGT probes in the header?)

In dyno testing I had more than enough control to meet my goals.

Thanks for the input fellas :). Currently I'm using AEM EMS, but am open to ems's that are better equiped to handle 12 injectors simultaneously if need be without adding additional control boxes if possible. And yes, I had high % of methanol in mind, hence one of the reasons for this dedicated methanol fuel setup idea. Please keep the discussion going, I'm all ears to learning from you more experienced folks!
