Here is a basic formula for runner length. 97000 / peak rpm (goal HP @? rpm). IE: 300hp @ 5900 rpm--- 97000/5900= a runner length of 16.4 inches.

this formula wouldnt apply to a forced induction model though, right?

Don't think I could part with 2.5 - 3K for a noisey N/A that couldn't keep up with a turbo with just an exhaust and filter. But if he's happy with it then good luck to him.

i have a an idea that may be rubbish but id like to build runners with some sort of grooved rifling like whats on the inside of a gun barrell and see if it makes any difference.But then again also, maybe i drink too much.

I think the latter is a better option.
